Paul's best known for his appearance on Series 9 of Britain's Got Talent. He sang his own dance track "Hold You In My Arms", to which he famously forgot the words on the second verse. He got the audience and three of the judges dancing away; resulting in three yeses. He did not go through to the semi-finals but was asked by producers to be the live semi-final reserve act. During his appearance, the audience figure reached 11.9 million; beating Eastenders Live. It aired on Saturday 25th April 2015.

Filmed in 2000 at the RAF museum in Hendon (North London), Paul Manners appeared twice in the aired episode, which was broadcast on new year's day 2001. He presented a gold watch and several gramophone records, including Elvis Presley's original Jailhouse Rock on 78".
